About LawArticle

LawArticle is an online law learning platform that aims to spread legal awareness and enhance legal education. The main purpose of this website is to make people aware of the law and to help in getting legal justice. We also ignite the initiative and willingness of law students to contribute to the field of law.

About the competition

We are organizing the first edition of its national essay writing competition to aims to bring out the creative writing talent of law students across the country on issues of contemporary and national importance.

Footnotes:

1. Relevant sources should be cited as ‘ Footnotes’ in Bluebook or OSCOLA format.

Kindly do not cite the sources at the end in the form of Bibliography or References or Endnotes. They are strictly prohibited.

Submission Requirements:

1. The Article must be submitted in English only.
2. The article may be submitted in the following manner (the word limit is exclusive of the footnotes) minimum of 1500 words and a maximum of 2500 words
3. All the Articles submitted must be original and unpublished.
4. Single–author submission is allowed. Co-authorship is not allowed.
5. The fee paid for the competition is non-refundable.
6. Submissions should be made in MS Word or PDF format.

Plagiarism and AI:

1. Similarity should be less than 20% and in case of gross similarity found in the contents of the submitted Article, the Article shall be subject to rejection.
2. Using AI tools, websites, resources etc. is strictly prohibited. However, a relaxation of up to 10% will be given.
3. Turnitin Software will be used to check the similarity and AI and the report will be final and binding.

Submission Guidelines:

All submissions should be sent via email at lawarticle.in@gmail.com in MS WORD or .pdf
format with the subject line “ Law Article Online Article Writing Competition”.

Scoring points:

While assessing the document, the following marking scheme will be formed;

• Originality and clarity of the content.
• Quality of the analysis and research.
• Language and structure of the essay.

All selected blogs with the author’s name will be published on the Law Article website.
