About Law Article
Law Article is an online law learning platform that aims to spread legal awareness and enhance legal education. The main purpose of this website is to make people aware of the law and to help in getting legal justice. We also ignite the initiative and willingness of law students to contribute to the field of law.
About the competition
We are organizing the first edition of its national essay writing competition to aims to bring out the creative writing talent of law students across the country on issues of contemporary and national importance.

Eligibility
The competition is open for all LL.B students (3 years/5 years), LL.M students, Research Scholars, and working legal professionals as well.
General Guidelines
- The Article must be submitted in English only
- The word limit of the essay should be a minimum of 1000 words and a maximum of 2000 words including footnotes.
- Only one submission per author shall be entertained.
- The content must be the author’s original work and should not be given for any other competition or for any publication.
- The fee paid for the competition is non-refundable.
- Submissions should be made in MS WORD or .pdf format.

- Date of Result Declaration: 10th May 2020
- Co-authorship is not allowed

Submission Guidelines
All submissions should be sent via email at lawarticle.in@gmail.com in MS WORD or .pdf format with subject line as “1st Law Article Online Essay Writing Competition”.
The deadline for submissions is on 30th April 2020
Scoring of the Essay
While assessing the document, the following marking scheme will be formed;
- Originality and clarity of the content
- Quality of the analysis and research
- Language and structure of the essay
Prizes
- 1st Place: INR 1500 with a certificate of appreciation (Hard copy)
- 2nd Place: INR 1000 with a certificate of appreciation (Hard copy)
- 3rd Place: INR 700 with a certificate of appreciation (soft copy)
- 4th Place: INR 500 with a certificate of appreciation (soft copy)
- 5th Place: INR 300 with a certificate of appreciation (soft copy)
- All other participants are entitled to receive participation certificates (soft copy).
All selected blogs will be published on the Law Article website with the author’s name.
