SC slams CAQM for delayed action to control pollution

The Apex Court slammed the Commission on Air Quality Management (CAQM) for delayed action in Delhi for controlling pollution. SC has directed that stage IV of the Graded Response Plan (GRAP) should continue even if the Air quality index fell below “severe plus” threshold of 450. The Bench slammed the CAQM  for not taking pre-emptive actions and waiting for the condition to deteriorate. The capital Region is choking because of severe pollution.
