SC seeks details for shelters for homeless at night in Delhi

The Apex Court had directed the Delhi Urban Improvement Board (DUIB) to file a detailed affidavit explaining the night shelter facilities available for homeless people at in Delhi. The Court noted the importance of right to shelter and safety as a fundamental right under Article 21 of Indian Constitution. The case is listed to be heard on 17 December. Night shelters are important specifically during winters.
