Religious conversions to get job amounts to fraud on Constitution: SC

The Apex Court held in a judgement that religious conversions without any actual belief with a motive to procure quota benefits amounts to a fraud on the Constitution as it defeats the social and legal purpose of reservations. It is also a fraud on society. Under Article 25 of Indian Constitution, every citizen has right to practice and profess any religion of their choice. But conversions should be genuinely inspired by its principles, tenets and spiritual thoughts.
