CJI Sanjiv Khanna administered oath of office to new SC judge Justice Krishna Vinod Chandran who formerly was the Chief Justice of Patna. The appointment raised the strength of the Apex Court to 33, one short of the full sanctioned strength. Justice K. Vinod is the second SC judge successfully recommended by the Khanna Collegium after Justice Manmohan.
