Govt. of Delhi imposes ban on firecrackers throughout the year

The Delhi Govt. imposed a ban on all forms of firecrackers throughout the year. The ban is imposed on selling, storage, manufacturing, delivering, bursting and online marketing of firecrackers. The Apex Court has directed the Governments of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to impose similar ban on firecrackers until further orders to control pollution. The Supreme Court also directed the NCR states to constitute teams of officials to ensure strict compliance with the anti pollution measures under GRAP-IV
